Understanding where gaps exist in the schedule of any shift-based specialty, such as a hospitalist service, is critical to ensure safe and appropriate staffing.  OnServiceMD has provided insight for services in where these shift gaps exist, however the OnServiceMD Open Shift features just became much more powerful.

With the implementation of the new Open Shift features in February, program leaders and administrators can get highly specific insight into its schedule gaps by leveraging powerful new capabilities.  Until now, Automatic Open Shifts have provided intelligent insights into schedule gaps, and Manual Open Shifts have given services additional flexibility and control.  The new features introduce team-level control over open shifts, which provides even more control over often complex schedules.

The new Open Shift features, added to existing Open Shift features, will give service leaders and administrators scheduling insights with the click of a button, and allow users to select shifts to cover that are most critical to ensure safe and robust staffing.
