With shift-based schedules, it is not only important for service leaders and administrators to keep their finder on the pulse of all staffing gaps.\u00a0 Understanding where there are scheduling risks is equally important.\u00a0 Frequently, people provide “heads up” information to their service leader that due to an impending family or personal emergency, they may need to be out for one or more upcoming shifts.\u00a0 This uncertainly can result in a lot of anxiety due to possible critical staffing gaps.\u00a0 In addition, keeping track of multiple simultaneous shifts that are at risk, and ensure all group leaders and administrators have the same line-of-sight into shifts that are at risk is key.<\/p>\n

This was the rationale for the implementation of the new “Shift Risk” feature.\u00a0 By designating a shift as one that is “At Risk,” all service leaders and administrators will have a understanding not only where the shifts gaps are, but where they may be.\u00a0 Any shift at risk is clearly visible on the schedule.\u00a0 By reviewed the upcoming open shifts as well as shifts that are at risk, a service can make informed decisions on staffing based on a complete picture of the service’s staffing.\u00a0 The feature helps to ensure that there are no surprises and that all users with scheduling privileges are fully informed at all times.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
